We'r Back

Alhamdulilah, we arrived last night after a long trip....this is sounds funny because even though we left on Friday but for some reason i feel like we have been gone for like a month!! In general I think Zaid did ok inside the air plain but he did have his moments, especially when the lady comes and asks us to use the seat belt on him during the take off and landing :/ at that point zaido will cry and cry until we take it off, but other than that...alhamdulilah he was very good, and I'm glad that he had his own seat...not having to hold him the entire time:)

The family reunion was just amazing mashallah! it was nice to meet some new family members like the newlyweds:) Ammar did a very good job taking care of the food mashallah. hmmm lets see..I'm trying to remember..but I'm just too exhausted lol. The most fun part is when one of the young cousin put the slide show with everybody's pictures. Everyone got the same t-shirt that everybody had to wear during the photo shot. we also had some games, lectures by different individuals...the other fun part was when my older sister in law had a surprise graduation party for her older daughetr, who just graduated from high school on top of her class and mashallah the girl got accepted to ALL universities MASHALLAH. We also had fun using the hot tub, we had a nice home theater where we watched the movie "freedom writer" it was very nice and an amazing story! The trip was very successful and inshallah we have to do it again. To summarise, it was just nice and intresting to share a place and hang out with at least 60 people=)

This morning we didn't wake up until 9:30 am! we missed fajer prayer...we didn't even feel that my mother in law, who spent the night with us, did leave the house in the morning with her daughter!! and Ammar who was suppose to go to school at 8am didn't make it!!

Whew, my first class was around 12pm so i was able to drop zaido at the day care and drive to school, i was yawning the entire time. our new professor seems very interesting...he mentioned that he has been teaching in CSUDH for at least 30 years AND he likes to teach with no shoes on!! i'm not kidding...he was walking with his bare foot in class!! go figure!!

I'm taking Behavioral modification class, and he told us that we are going to learn and be able to change other people's behavior in few weeks;) sounds interesting ha. In fact our first assignment is for us to choose one behavior about someone we see alot, and in class we are going to learn how to do that, i'm very exited...we have to take the person's permission first. I choose my husband of course=) and the behavior that I'll be trying to change is (him biting his nails) heheh i can't wait to see how this is going to work..cus when i told the teacher, he was like this is soooo easy!

Now with summer school my scedule is M-W (8am-12) T-TH(12pm-4) so tomorrow i have to woke up very early, and my body is sooooooooooooo tired! Alhamdulilah 3ala kol shy'a.

Hopfully tomorrow's class will be a good and easy one inshallah.

I'm worried about ziaod cus i think he just came up with a fever:( one day befor the trip, he got a runny noze..i think his body is tired too now...I pray that he will get better soon inshallah..

ok one more thing. Ammar just came and got tha mail..and i got a letter from the school. I passed the (GWAR) alhamdulilah..that's mean i don't have to take any english classes;)) ALHAMDULILAHAAAAAAA

On the Road..

Yay....Smokey Mountains here i come=)) Well, inshallah we are leaving this morning to Tennessee. We have one stop in Chicago...and we are gong to arrive around 10:30 pm after like one hour drive from the airport to the cabin :/i hope everything will go smoothly at the airport and the rest with Zaido! He is going to enjoy the company of his cousin Amar inside the air plain cus my brother in law, his wife, and their little baby are going to be with us the whole time...yay. I'm very very excited

Fun Weekend!

Ya salaaam what a great weekend:) alhamdulilah. Saturday morning i took zaido to the park, then to this yearly event for the city of Hawthorne outside the home depot store...where different organizations have their own tables...giving away free stuff....kids playing and making things...kids taking pictures inside the police cars....kids performing on the stage....and the Mayor, the chef of police were there too. basically it was an event for the city by the city. and our masjid was part of it too...we had our own table where some youth were giving out some free stuff...it was a fun event mashallah!

Then at night i was so exited cus i got to go to the "Axis of Evil Comedy Tour", oh my God it was very very good. Those guys were hilarious...i was laughing so hard, my stomach was hurting me:) and thank God for my mother in law; she babysat the kids. I wish Ammar was with me, he was very busy in the masjid for the Fundraising night! If the group are going to be in your town...don't miss it, it's hilarious people. After that we decided to spend the night at my in laws because the next day we were invited at my brother's in laws house and we didn't wana drive all the way back...it was big mashallah.....around 50 people came....and they had a jumper for the kids supposedly, but we had our time too; we got to jump and play too....even my father in law went jumping....lol.....we had ALOT of fun alhamdulilah and the food was amazing...allah yjzeehon el khyr:)It was also nice because we got to see my other brother in law and my sister in law who came from Davis...they will be spending like three months here inshallah, with my in laws, so we decided to spend the night again :) after we put all the kids to sleep..we decide to go watch a movie just the four of us...we watched "Spider Man 3" and got back home around 12am. It was fun and i was really happy to finally spend some time with hubby and the family. Last time i went to a theater...like when zaido was 5 months old!! so it was reeeeally nice.

We had a nice breakfast this morning then we drove back home. I cleaned the house, washed the clothes, worked on the treadmill...took a shower...gave zaido a bath too..cleaned the backyard, and just working around the house doesn't seem to stop!! and now it's night and i have no idea what i'm going to feed my hubby!! there is tons of clothes that i need to iron too.Ahhhhh...those r gona wait for tomorrow..."maybe"!

Any way, ALHAMDULILAH for the family and a good weekend =))

and 4 more days to the family reunion;)

Free Time!

Well, i finished my finals last Thursday and yesterday i went to school to drop my final essay and i took Zaido with me. Then around 6pm i took zaido to see Ammar at this place where the police department in Hawthorne were having like a fundraising dinner for the (police dogs), it was not something huge or fancy... it was very simple where we got to see the chief of police and the mayor, who came to our house and meet with us and the neighbors when that incident happened few months ago. Also Zaido got to play with the police dogs=)
Last Sunday i envied some older friends over my house for a surprise baby shower. This is my friend's fourth baby mashallah! and those last tow pregnancies were unplanned!! i remember when she knew that she is pregnant how sad she was, but after that you know she was ok :) she was sad because this lady's pregnancies are usually not easy..she has to stay on bed rest, she has to take care of three children, and other hard stuff, and on top of all that...two weeks ago she fall down the stairs and broke her arm but the baby is good alhamdulilah!! can you believe it...and she is due any minute now...and she dose not have any family here:( So as soon as i finished my exams i decided to make a surprise party to cheer her up before she gives birth, and alhamdulilah i called some people on Friday and Saturday and the party was Sunday, which was mother's day too. I was scared that people will tell me no we can't make it, but alhamdulilah most of them came and the party was smooth and just nice.....the surprise was cool;) Nothing much is going on right now...inshallah I'm going to take summer school which starts in the end of the month! For now I'm just going to enjoy this break cus i REALLY need it. it's nice to spend my days with zaido and at the same time i feel kinda unfocused somehow... i just feel so empty... yes it's nice to have a break,yes it is very very nice to spend all the day with zaido but i just feel lonely, it's nice to enjoy life and share it with some one els, like a true friend, or a sister...and hubby is busy as usual may Allah give him strength Amen. Ahh..i miss my family...I just need to keep myself busy inshallah :)

The only thing is making me excited is the reunion. Next week inshallah we and all my husband's family are going to Tennessee for a family reunion:) they have been planning it for like a year! and subhannallah ..here it comes!! i can't wait to pack our stuff, be in the plain, and just have fun with the family. I really hope that it's going to be fun and drama free lol. can't wait inshallah...

I don't know what to feel anymore! Today was my sister's wedding day:) and i don't know what to say or think...i'm having all kinds of feelings right now....from happy to sad, from numb, to mad, from busy to quite, I'm just happy n tired.
Habebty Aboora i hope you had the most wonderful day of your life...i just wish i was there to see your bright face...to kiss you...to dance with you...to take care of you, and to tell everyone in this world that I LOVE YOU. I know that you look SO beautifull in your make up and white gown....but i believe that your spirit, smile, and your love for those people around you what made your wedding so beautiful.

sis i Know your day was busy...make up, pictures, flowers, people "u know and u don't know" :), dancing, laughing, friends, family, food "if u had any", Hattan, Um Hattan, His whole family, pictures..pictures, and more pictures.....let me tell you about MY DAY OK.

so while u were doing all that...i woke up in the morining with u in mind of course. then i tried to study because tomorrow i have two finals inshallah, but of course couldn't focus because of you;)) Then i asked Ammar to drop zaido off at the day care so i can have "me time to study"

OH

wait i forgot tell everyone something very important!! Guess what?? when we were still in bed chatting...and zaido jumping over our heads, randomly Ammar asked Zaido to kiss me! aaaaand he DID,, YAY he made my day wallah...and we all starts clapping and cheering for him ...and i think he liked it, so he kept kissing me like 10 times...after every kiss, we cheered for him and he was clapping and laughing so hard=)) so ya alhamdulilah it finally happened=) I love cute zaido...u made mama's day.

OK, after ammar took zaido to the day care, i started to study BUT u sister..u were inside my head all the time. then time just passed so quickly and it was time to pick zaido up @4pm.

I'm not so sure about finals, but i think I'm ready....Allah yeeser.

On another note: last Saturday, i went to this fashion show...done by Islamic Relief with the girls organizing the whole thing mashallah. it was so amazing..they did a really great job...they did the run way thing...they had all different dances...dabkeh, belly dancing, Pakistani and Indian dances...MASHALLAH it was really good. and the whole purpose of the night was to raise money for Palestine. Isn't that amazing. I mean girls LOVE things like that...hijabs...clothes...and the whole idea of fashion show=)), and women only!

Here i am again writing from the library...nothing is going on really, except last Sunday. we had the baby shower for my friend and mashallah many people came. The house was FULL of people and i loved it:) I wish i can have people at my house all the time! Everything was just perfect..the games ,especially the diaper game;) the food was just amazing, and the decoration were beautiful. I had a great time...of course many people who replied with yes to the e Vite didn't show up for some reason!! but still we had lots of fun..

School is almost over YAY and i can't believe it..time really flies! i have three essays to write. I almost finished one of them yesterday. Then finals next week...it's gona be a busy week. please make some duaa for me!

Well, i haven't been feeling great emotionally...my baby sister is getting married on 5/9, and i finish the last exam on the 17Th. Too bad for me...last Wednesday i was really feeling down...so one morning i woke up really mad at the whole situation. My sister can't postpone the wedding because there is no other date for booking a hotel, it's really hard now because alot people are having thier wedding on this time of year; she told me there is a wedding on the day before and after her wedding at the same place! and i can't take my exams early, plus the visa thenge. so any way i woke really mad and i told Ammar that i needed to go out of the house, and from there, weird things started to happen!...when i went to the bathroom, i saw one of zaido's hair on the floor cus i cut his hair the day before. The funny thing was that the hair looked like a smiley face:)!!!lol i started laughing...and i was like, even the hair is telling me to cool down and smile! Then i said to myself... all what i need now is for someone to stop me in the street and tells me to smile! so any way i got ready and left the house to cool down....cus like i said i was really mad at the whole situation, and ammar kept calling me to make sure that i was OK..poor guy! so i went to Marshals to buy some stuff for the back yard which by the way looks very nice now=) and i found not one but two jackets that i liked on sale!"shoppingtherapy"

Anyway, as i was driving my car and going out from the exit...there was this car coming in at the same time....and you won't believe what happened. This lady in the car said to me SMILE!!!!and drove away!! can you believe it!! i was in shock!! and i started laughing!!and from that moment my mood just changed and i was feeling better alreday! i stopped being sad about me not going to my sis wedding! of course im not like happy either but i feel like it's ok lobna...you know the peaceful feeling. so alhamdulilah 3ala kol 7al.

I called my mother before i went to class and she told me how everyone is getting ready for the wedding and buying the last minute stuff.

I feel so happy for my sister..i hope everything will go smoothly at her wedding. May Allah protect them all and make my sister and her husband the happiest couples on this earth. I can't belive my little sis is getting married subhanallah!!
