The Kiss Battle

Here i am writing from the school again. I think this is the only time i can just sit and write. Any way, so Sunday was Earth Day and i heard that discovery channel was going to show all the series of the show Planet Earth plus the last two new episodes, so i spent most of the day watching it and wow, it was amazing people! i kept saying subhanallah over and over...you see things around the world that you might not see your whole life. Those people spend FIVE years shooting those images and moving from place to place all over the world!! it was so amazing and worth watching for sure! Discovery channel, and TLC are my favorit channels.

On Monday i decided to go buy some new plants for the backyard to both celebrate earth day and make my back yard look nice;) and i love how my back yard looks now! I still need to finish decorating the walls a little. I'm trying to finish that before the baby shower this Sunday=)) it's gona be fun inshallah!

Today zaido woke up around 7:30, at first he just left his room and went directly to the other room to turn the CD player on, then he came to us. I played sleep to see what he will do:) he was very sweet....calling me "mama" and was trying to wake me up...then he jumped on top of my head! I opened my eyes and started laughing and said "ahleen habeby, good morning" he was happy and started to push me and pull my hand to come with him...but i refused to leave the bed without a kiss. For some reason this boy doesn't like to kiss ANYBODY! even me and ammar....and if he did, he comes out of the blues...like all of the sudden he would leave his toys to come and kiss me then return to his toys!! But if anyone comes and asked him for a kiss, then he won't do it!!! So this morning I've decided that I shall not leave the bed without a kiss from this little fela! and from here the war started. He is pulling my hand to go with him and I'm refusing to leave while singing and pointing to my cheeks saying "mama bedda boosseh...I'm not leaving without a kiss", On the other hand zaido is jumping with anger and saying L'a!!! But i don't care....again I'm singing.. " mama wants a kiss right here" pointing to my cheeks... and the boy is still jumping and crying now! and i still didn't care!! i refuse to leave the bed without a morning kiss....lek give me a kiss ya fas3oon!!! but Zaido is still refusing...he won't give me a kiss!!!!!!! I'm telling you people this went on for like 20 minutes at least....me singing and he is crying, jumping, screeming. and Ammar was like "eh oomy ba'aa" lool.

In the end, i'm sorry to say that i lost the kissing battle to this little boy! lol

I left the bed without a morning kiss...but i did get one from Ammar lol...But seriously...whats this boy's problem!! is he playing the "I'm old for kisses already!!!jeez....

This war is not over yet..mama is gona keep trying.

Updates!

Alhamdulilah, what a great month i had. first seeing my brother and then my dad..alfa alhamdulilah! we came back from camp last Sunday and we had so much fun. The weather was amazing which made it extra good. last year i remember it was freezing..so alhamdulilah it was much easier for the kids to play and stuff. Zaido was SO happy mashallah he didn't waste a minute:) He would wake up in the morning around 7:30 with a huge smile on his face (usually he crays when he wake up), leave his mattress and ran towards the door. I was so happy to see him that excited...no restrictions or anything. I just had to tell him wait mama, i have to change your diaper and clothes first...and he look at me like..oh come on mama pleeze do it fast! after i change him, he runs again towards the door! and then I'm like wait habeby, mama needs to change her clothes too!! just the look on his face heheh!! ya habeby. Then we go outside to start a new day with some more adventures. It was just a very nice trip..no cell phones, no TV...just you, your friends, family, and nature! i loved it. of course the sleeping part was not that comforting..but who cares when you are having all the other fun stuff.

When we came back home..all of us were so tired..even zaido, he slept throughout the drive back home..he spent some energy that he never got to spent the entire year maybe!!

Then Monday we were invited for dinner at baba's friend house. it was fun. Tuesday morning, i took baba for some shopping and then dropped baba and zaido home and then left for my classes. I had to leave zaido with baba because it was the "spring break" week at the day care!!which i didn't know that day cares have spring break too!!

On Wednesday i don't have classes, so i took baba for some more shopping. Ammar didn't feel like going so he babysat zaido. I got this cool leather jacket and other stuff;) Then on Thursday i woke up having this very bad cold so i couldn't go to school. I think baba had some visitors that day. But Friday was a fun day. baba invited his close friends after Juma prayer for some BBQ, so i took baba in the morning to buy the stuff from Costco. but for some reason they didn't have the parts of meat that baba needed!! but baba couldn't resist to buy those yummy fat looking shrimps lol. so we went to the Arabic store to buy the meat, and as baba was telling the guy on how to cut the meat..i went to buy other things and when i came back... i saw baba behind the counter cutting the meat!! I think the guy was very slow...and baba is the master on that lol
Then we went home and people started coming and what can i say about the "mashawi"...it was fantastic ya 3alam. and those big fat shrimps BOY they were amazing ...i can eat that all day long!!YUMM
Then around mughrib we all went to the masjed,, (after a shower;)..cus the masjid people asked baba to give a lecture there..and alhamdulha it was very nice. It was the last night to spend with baba...so when we went back home...we just sat together and enjoyed the last hours. Subhanallah how those ten days past so fast. Saturday around Fajer, Ammar took baba to the airport..while i stayed with zaido.. then when ammar came back..i left for my class. It was a weird morning...but thank God. we were invited for dinner at my in laws...so we didn't stay at home and feel the emptiness....

Sunday, we were also invited for a BBQ at the park... it was also fun but it was very very cold... and i had to leave around 4pm cus guess what! I went to the Lakers game!!! I left zaido with ammar at the park, made sure to give him the car seat, and then headed off to the masjed to meet my friends. We had so much fun and it was a great game against the Sonics. I think if it wasn't for Kobe...the team couldn't of made it!! did i spell his name right?!!

Oh and I'm so glad that i sat next to my friend Marwa....cus of my cold i couldn't scream or anything..so she did the whole screaming and yelling stuff for me lol..she was all over the place:)) all i can do is clap:) we came back home around 9pm...it was alot of fun alhamdulilah....

Monday no school..but i did some shoe shopping I also bought some new learning songs CD for zaido, and new sun glasses for me..cus zaido broke the 2 i had!!...and now I'm in the library typing:)) Zaido back to day care....and everything is back to the old routine. more laundry at home;))

salam, alhamdulilah baba is here..he arrived late because he missed his flight! alhamdulilah everything is fine=)we have to leave for the camp in an houre, inshallah its gona be fun!i hope my dad dosen't got tired though!inshallah khyr. any way this is a nice poem i thought it is nice to share it..Ammar's cousin send it to us..

Zaido and the Slippers!

wow! what a busy few days i had. On Monday i went to school to finally drop that class. i was running from one department to the other to have these few signatures from people in order to drop it! it was crazy..and waiting in those long lines, ughh, i got home with a back pain but alhamdulilah it's over.

For some reason..i've been noticing lately that when i stand up or walk alot whether i'm shopping or anything, my back starts hurting. What's gona happen when i have a second baby ha?!! i'm getting old already...lol

After that i went home and cooked some "mahashi" for my brother who asked for it=) it was a different feeling to cook for him..the feeling of sisterly brotherly love that i have missed so much! even thought i was tired i just couldn't help but spoil him some more and make him happy on those last days! My brother just left yesterday... we had to say our good beys in the early morning. Ammar and Mohammad had to go to the federal building again to take the passport, then Ammar had his new class, and by noon to the airport. I left the house at 10am to go to my class. Between my two classes, i have 2 hours break, i went to my car in the parking and just sat there and lied down...AND i fall a sleep for like 15 or 10 minutes maybe....and i missed the first 15 minutes of the class!! When i told ammar that, he gave me a big lecture on safety stuff!! i shouldn't do that again!

In the end, i didn't wana go to an empty sad house;( When Ammar came from work, i was just "off" i didn't feel like talking or even moving...and he was traying to cheer me up)

any way, alhamdulilah i talked to my family and everything is fine...couldn't talk to Mohammad cus he was sleep;) but my sister ohh she was SO happy about the stuff i got for her:)

Today it was a very long day. Since me and ammar don't have school on Wednesday now, we decided to go finish some shopping. First thing was to look for a vacuum. we went to Big Lots but they didn't have any. so we drove to Wall Mart and didn't find the one we wanted but we got one any way! We got the up right, bag less Dirt Devil. It's kinda heavy though. I also bought this Dirt Devil Scorpion...I've always wanted one so i can clean inside my car yay! Then Ammar drove again in Orange County for some more shopping for the camp stuff on Friday!! and i can't believe my dad is coming tomorrow night!! it is just a delicious feeling to have some family member around you all the time alhamdulilah. This is like my super exciting month. Allah yoselow besalameh. It feels unreal subhanallah! I can't wait to see his face=) Inshallah the camp is going to be just amazing with him being here:)

I wish I've left zaido at the day care when we did all the shopping. We left the house at 9:30 and didn't come back until like 3pm! I got so tired...i can imagine how hard it was for him... he got cranky in the end.

When we got back home, i put zaid in his Tub to play in the water then i gave him a bath to relax his body and started working and cleaning around the house before my daddy comes inshallah.

Tonight, zaido did something cute... usually when he wants a bottle of milk, he holds my hands and walk me to the kitchen, opens the refrigerator, and points to the milk. But when he did take my hand this time, i just steeped outside the kitchen to see what he will do. and you know what he did? he noticed that i wasn't wearing my slippers and thought oh may be that's why i didn't come inside, so he came bringing them to me, sat on the floor and was trying to make me wear them so i can come inside! i started laughing and couldn't help but hold him and kiss him all over his face=) it was so cute.. i really needed that laugh..especially from him after this long day :-)

Coffee with Couscous!!

Yesterday was a fun day. we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in long beach and we had so much fun. Zaido enjoyed playing, touching, and watching all kind of fish. Mashallah i was so proud of him...he loved touching the animals there and he was not scare at all...he didn't want to leave the place! It was so amazing to see the sea world and all those colorful creatures subahanallah!

After that we went home for some rest and then we stopped by at Sears to return the 2nd vacuum!! yes i got another one from there and it was worse than the first one. Then we stopped by Target and Kmart but we couldn't find anything!! I'm looking for those bag less, small size vacuums not those huge ones, so hopefully i can find one sooon! Then by night we went to a restaurant for dinner and alhamdulilah Zaido was a good boy mashallah, he almost spelled the drink once....but in general he was good=)

Friday was a busy day, in the morning i meet with my friends to plan the baby shower for Raghad, mashaallah she looks very cute=)). Then after we were done and as i was walking outside, i found a ticket on my car yup! I think this is my 2nd or 3rd ticket so far.... even thought i made sure to read the sign before i parked my car there... it says (no stopping from 8-12 then 4-8pm) and my ticket says that the sign says (no stopping anytime)! so I'm confused....any way I'm gona have to pay $50 :( Then around mughrib i took my brother to the masjed and he enjoyed listening to the lecture..while i looked after my zaido who was playing outside.

Later that night, Ammar saw three older but different boys jumping to come inside our complex and of course he called the copes! I have to say the situation is much much better...we have not been seeing any bad boys for a long time alhamdulilah! and those boys were new. It was funny because a few minutes before that, i was telling Ammar and my brother about how things are better now and then this happens!lol

The police came and guess what they told ammar after they catch the boys?!! the police man described one of the boys as very dangerous, the second as a missing person from Las Vegas, and the third one i forgot! can you imagine...the police told ammar that those three boys will be spending the night in jail for sure. Wow... by calling the cops Ammar probably has helped somebody that night!! who knows!! never underestimate any situation! It was a good lesson because my brother was like don't bother calling the cops...and those boys will leave you alone:-/

Tomorrow is back to school..good bey spring break..! Also, tomorrow morning Ammar is going to take my brother to finish his passport...hopefully they will get it right away inshalllah! He has to leave Wednesday! and my dad arrives Thursday!! Ahhhh alhamdulilah 3ala kol 7al...that's good my dad will keep me busy during the camp and at home=)
The other day i woke up to a coffee with couscous! no no this is not a new recipe or anything. I woke to find zaido playing in the kitchen...here let the picture talk:
