Busy week.
I wana thank everyone who called me, prayed for us, or left a comment because they really made me feel good, so thank you.
Oh, someone asked about the name of the street! Well, I'll only say that i live in the city of Hawthorne :) is that enough! Another thing, in my previous post i mentioned that the problem started shortly after we moved to the house. But i made a mistake...we have been in this house for 3 years now, and the problem started like a year a go...i guess it does make a difference..
Hmm, we are doing better now. On Wednesday, we had an emergency meeting with the home association. Ammar and I made sure to let all the neighbors know about it and passed flayers and alhamdulilah most of them came. The Mayor and the chief of police came too. It was really nice of him. The Mayor talked to everyone about how they are really won't leave working on what happened... but he had to leave early since it was unplanned meeting and he already have a meeting somewhere els, so it was really nice of him to stop by again! He told us that we can make another meeting and that he will be more than happy to come; he said maybe we can do some BBQ too so all the neighbors can have a chance to both have fun and know each other more=)
The chief of police was with us the whole meeting....we talked and talked and I'm SO proud of Ammar. Basically HE was the only one from all the neighbors who really knew what he was talking about....basically he "sharsha7" the manager of our association...he discussed many things....for example when ammar read the laws of our association...he found that the pelanty if someone threw a trash in the complex that he or she will be notified first, and if he or she did it again , they Will be finned a $ 25.00!!!!!!! what the........................ usually it is no less that 500 or even a $1000 ...This is just a small example! and i really liked this chief of police ..he was really cool with us......the manager of course was trying to defend himself....but every time Ammar will bring some other issue up, he doesn't really have a good explanation or just say that the law of Cali is this and that...but Ammar mashallah 3aleh have done his homework and did have some information and examples of how other complexes do things differently ......so the chief of police said to Ammar and to all the neighbors...u have the power to change the manager u know....he said that in front of the manager;)....u should of seen his face (the so called manager)..........The chief of police also was really happy with us because we did call them...cus some of the neighbors started saying that they too noticed something about those boys, but no one did something or called the cops...
So ya it was very interesting meeting.......for our safety issue.....we have the camera but we didn't put it yet! we are waiting for this guy to come.........and since last week, we didn't see one of those boys....and the police cars have been passing our street more. Ammar told that the other day he came home like twice to take something from home, and both time he found the police cars there!! so alhamdulilah....they kept their word.
I have to say, I didn't think this whole thing would effect me THAT MUCH but it did......i had 2 midterms last week and I couldn't really consecrate...even during one of the exams....it was multiple choice....and i noticed that i was reading the question like five time to understand it! Also, the other day Zaido was playing downstairs and he ran to look from the big window, and i jumped after him and told him NO....what about we play over there. When we go inside our bedroom, sometime that feeling of fear comes to us. And before we go to sleep, we make sure that all the phones are next to us now...its so hard not to feel safe in your own house!
But inshallah everything will be OK. If i said alhamdulilah 10000 times, it won't be enough..so laka alhamdu ya Allah that no one was hurt..
i wana write about good stuff now:)
the other day i filled the banio in the bathroom with water and bubbles and both Zaido and me jumped there. It's the first time we do that....and we had such good time playing with some toys and splashing water..it was so much fun=))
Yesterday, while i wanted to pray, zaido wear my cover and starts prying...he looked so cute yu'bushny
He does have this little piano toy...but i think I'm going to buy him the one with the real sounds in it now. Maybe this boy have a talent ;) even the lady at the day care told me how zaido loves to to turn on the stereo she has...she was surprised that he know how turn it on by himself mashallah!
Alhamdulilah i can tell he is SO happy there=) even when i drop him off...you know what he does? he follows me when i want to leave...and everyone at the begening thought oh oh, he doesn't wana stay, but you know what he did? He followed me to close the door behind me!!heheh wallahi he made everyone there laugh.
Alhamdulilah...
Ammar decided that he finally wants to start on fixing the back yard, so yesterday he brought a friend and started working.. it took them alot of time though, they worked from 8am to 8pm+ going back and forth to Laws.....etc hopefully they can finish it fast before it rain in Tus!
I have 2 papers due this week, so i ggg busy...
Good luck and plz keep us in ur da3awat:)

What a wonderful blog you have. I'm glad that scary situation worked out but mostly I wanted to comment on your entry about how much you love your baby and the things he did. Ohhh it was soo beautiful. My 'baby' is 12 years old now and I remember so well all those beautiful moments. Treasure them. I know you do:) They pass so quickly. My son is still wonderful and I love him to death but oh those early years..they are divine...so whenever you are tired or long to have some time for yourself just pause and think ..they will be over soon..you will have lots of time as I do now because my 12 yr is oh so independent:). But just wanted to say that your blog is so wonderful, happy and positive and you capture so well those beautiful years with one's husband and little one. Good luck and all the best. It is so nice to read your blog..somehow I have ended up reading these blogs about Muslim women who are suffering and enduring polygamy with terrible men..so it is a breat h of fresh air to read of a woman who is Muslim and happy and enjoying life with family, friends and community.

and thanx for annonymos and ur nice words, but it made me sad when u talked about how some muslim women are! i think womens problmes are the same everywhere, even here in the west, women are abused by thier husbands too. Thank God i have a good husband. And i know that he will never hurt me because he was raised right and he knows God, i'm really blessed.

Hello again.
I don't to be argumentative:) but you said women's problems are the same all over the world..yes, I agree and in the west women are abused by husbands/boyfriends/etc but at least there is protection by the law (sometimes, we all are aware, this protection sadly is deficient..ie. spouses being killed due to ineffectual enforcement of protection by the state/government whatever)But at least women's rights are enshrined in the law..problems I have seen with polygamy particularly is not only the woman has to endure hurt, humiliation etc but she is told she should endure it..that is her lot in life .

hmm i agree with u, women in the west have good laws while in the east we are very blessed with good goverments(im joking ofcourse)..but that dsoes bot mean that both are similar too, i'm majoring in sociology and in one of my classes, we have been talking about this topic of women proplem..etc it's very intresting cus even here in the west.some women will prefer to stay with thier bad husband for the sake of the kids somtimes. and usually in the eastern sosicty, if the woman decided to leave...she goes and live back with her family with pride. but in the west, most families will not take her back..she has to do it on her own!and even if they decide to leave thier husband, socities lables them as selfesh cus she didnt think of her kids's best intrests!!!ahhh its very complicated...the most importanat thing is not put religion as the cause :)

I agree with Lobna that the religion has nothing to do with all the marital problems. As our religion condemns them. Even polygomy is only accaptable if you can deal in a just manner with allthe wives. Otherwise it's discouraged.
It's usually those who do not follow the religion correctly that have problems.
Like in Lobna"s case she mentioned her husband follows his religion well and had a good upbringing which has resulted him in being an excellent husband mashallah.
Lobna all the best to you you both 'til death do you apart inshallah. May it happen after a very long time.
